Press Communications’ 107.1 The Boss (WWZY) launches inaugural charity event

This December, Press Communications’ 107.1 The Boss (WWZY) launched its inaugural Radiothon and Mistletoe Rock event to benefit the Jersey Shore charity, The Michael Girard Puharic Memorial Fund, Inc, better known as "Michael’s Feat."

Michaels Feat is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort and easing the burden for parents caring for seriously ill newborns. They work directly with the NIC-U units at local hospitals to connect with affected families and supply material goods and financial support allowing those families to focus on what is important – caring for their child. The charity was founded and is managed by Dana and Adam Puharic.

The fundraising and awareness campaign kicked off with a day-long live broadcast radiothon from the Freehold Raceway Mall and culminated with Mistletoe Rock, a live event and concert at Bar Anticipation featuring a live performance by The Nerds. This multi-media venture included live and recorded announcements on both terrestrial and stream, interviews, social media, eblasts, paid digital, electronic signage, website exposure, text to donate, and more.

The campaign was a tremendous success in not only raising much needed funds for the organization, but also in driving towards the goal of making Michael’s Feat a household name at the Jersey Shore!
