Radio Contributes to a Record Year of Giving for the Broadcasters Foundation of America

With the support of radio, the Broadcasters Foundation of America awarded a record $1 Million this year to 268 broadcasters in acute need. A 501(c)3 charity, the Broadcasters Foundation provides monthly and one-time emergency grants to broadcasters and their families who are devastated by debilitating illnesses and accidents or affected by natural disasters.

With the devastation from hurricanes, floods, and wildfires in 2017, The Broadcasters Foundation knew many broadcasters would need emergency aid. To increase awareness of its mission, the Foundation added radio public service announcements to its outreach program. Awareness has reached unprecedented levels and the Foundation continues to reach out across the country to provide aid to those broadcasters who need it most.

There’s still time to make a 2017 tax-deductible donation to the Broadcasters Foundation. Please visit www.broadcastersfoundation.org, call 212-373-8250, or email info@thebfoa.org.
